Avaliação após a aplicação do ácido acético e a captação da solução de Lugol

A inspeção visual com ácido acético e a aplicação da solução de Lugol (teste de Schiller) são métodos de rastreamento acessíveis para detecção de lesões precursoras do câncer. A inspeção visual identifica áreas de alta atividade celular pela coloração esbranquiçada (acetorreatividade), enquanto o teste de Schiller evidencia regiões pobres em glicogênio, que não captam o iodo. A combinação sequencial dos testes aumenta a acurácia diagnóstica, especialmente em contextos com infraestrutura limitada. Apesar da subjetividade e das interferências clínicas, como menopausa e gestação, ambos os métodos permanecem relevantes, desde que aplicados com técnica adequada e por profissionais capacitados.
