ULCUS VULVAE ACUTUM

Lipschütz Ulcer, or ulcus vulvae acutum is a pathology that sometimes is underdiagnosed and it appears in a young women with no first sexual intercourse. Its main clinical appearance is an acute painful vulvar lesion. The etiology is unknown, although recent reports have associated it with the Epstein-Barr virus. The diagnosis is clinical and made by exclusion. We report a case of a young woman who presents with fever, edema and deep ulcer in a vulvar area. The laboratorial investigation was made to isolate the possibility to appear other infeccious or sexually transmitted deseases. The regression was espontaneous without sequelae or recurrences as the case reports.
